We left home on February 2nd, two days after James retired! Our goal was to get to warmer weather before the next cold front hit in Illinois. Good news, we made it! We spent the first night near Tupelo Mississippi at a Cracker Barrel. From there we headed to Baker, Florida where we spent the night at a free county park campground with showers and flush toilets. From there we headed east to Coe Landing near Tallahassee. From there we headed to the beach at St. Augustine and spent the night at a campground where we had our fist chore day of laundry and grocery shopping to prepare for 5 days and 4 nights of boondocking.

We spent 5 days and 4 nights at VanFest 2025 in Melborne, FL. Kim did yoga every day it was offered and loved it, and even tried acro-yoga. We entered the Best in Show contest and got third place, which got us free entry into a future VanFest. We had a blast meeting a lot of great vanlifers and YouTube Influencers. Most of which we were already following! We met Charlie Grace, PSAdventures, RidingOurVanStory, GrayAndGrumpy, SteveAndAudra, EveryStatePark, Frugal Factor, and Lauren Lawliss. Be sure to check them out on YouTube and Instagram. Kevin and Leann from RidingOurVanStory even gave us a cool cutting board that they made. We are looking forward to connecting with many of them at Skoolie Swarm and Peace, Love, Vans in the next few weeks! Vanlifers are the best!

Next we headed to Jonathan Dickenson State Park near Jupiter FL. While there we saw our first alligator in the wild! We also took our first bike ride of the year from the state park into Jupiter to the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and the Tiki 52 Bar and Grill. It was about a 20 mile round trip. Very thankful for the new pedal assist e-bikes, the wind was a killer. If you are in the O'fallon IL area and in need a new bike be sure to head on over to The Bike Surgeon and tell John that we sent you.
